If you've paid 100 percent of the tax balance due on time, then you will be granted an automatic seven month extension to file your New Hapmshire Interest and Dividends Tax return without filing Form DP-59-A. However, if you need to make another payment to reach that 100 percent, you'll need to complete Form DP-59-A (PDF) and submit your payment with it in order to be granted an extension of time to file.

The State of New Hampshire will automatically grant your business a 7-month tax extension provided you pay 100% of the Business Enterprise Tax and Business Profits Tax determined to be due by the due date.

If you need to make an additional payment in order to have paid 100% of the tax determined to be due, you may e-fi le your payment, submit Form BT-EXT (PDF) with payment or make an electronic payment by the original due date in order to be granted an extension of time to fi le your return.
